Information We Collect

When someone visits our Website, our Web server automatically recognizes the visitor's domain name/IP address, operating system, and browser type. We use this information to generate statistics and reports about site traffic in order to help us design our website to be as universally compatible as possible. It is not possible for us to gather personal information from domain name/IP address information.

When someone signs up for our mailing list or one of our fee based educational programs, we only obtain the personal information necessary for disseminating information about upcoming programs, receipt of payment to attend a specific program or for contacting that person when necessary. Our registration form may include name, email addresses, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit cared or social security numbers.

On rare occasions, we may disclose specific information upon governmental request, in response to a court order, or when required by law to do so. We may also share information with companies assisting in fraud protection or investigation. We do not provide information to these agencies or companies for marketing or commercial purposes.

With those exceptions, the information we collect will not be shared, sold, given or in any other manner be passed on to anyone for any purpose!

How We Use Email

When you provide us your email address, we may send you emails necessary to process your request to attend a program or respond to other request you may initiate. For example, after you register to attend one of our fee based programs you will receive a confirmation email and possibly a reminder email when the program date nears. We may also send you an occasional email relating to our Newsletter or alerting you to something we feel would be of special interest. If at any time you wish to be removed from our “mailing list”, please let us know.

Occasionally we provide links on our website to other sites we think you will find interesting, informative or educational. These sites operate independently of The Coalition for Quality End of Life Care (CQEC) and have established their own privacy and security policies. We encourage you to review the policies of any site you visit.

If our information practices change, we will post these changes on our website. We encourage you to review our privacy policy periodically.
